How did everyone enjoy the cherry blossoms? My daughter, Maria and I enjoyed them very much. It's the first year that she really understood what cherry blossoms are, and when I first took her to see a tree in full bloom this year, she said, "Mama, it's snow!" I then explained to her that they wer flowers, but she then said, "Oh, flowers and snow!" It was very cute, and ever since she would shout, "Ah! Sakura!" whenever she saw a cherry blossom tree.
And yet AGAIN H.A. has made beautiful tsumami kanzashi pieces to sell in Manchester, England. She has totally surpassed what she thought was possible for her to do. I am SO very proud of her, and extremely impressed with her work. I hope she continues to be successful!
The time has flown by so fast this year, and it's difficult to believe it's already April. Some cherry blossoms have begun blooming already, and I'm looking forward to Hanami again this year. It's one of my favorite times of the year! If you know of a great Hanami spot in To
A while ago, H.A. made more sakura-dama for charity. She did a beautiful job again! Apparently they sell very well in England for the charity event.
H.A. Keep up the great work!!!!
PS. I will post pictures soon.
One of Azalea's Studnets, Ms. H, has become very talented at creating tsumami flowers. Originally, she asked me to teach her how to make the flowers for hair pins to sell for a charity supporting victims of the Great Earthquake and Tsunami disaster. Then it grew into a hobby and she has created some beautiful pieces, better than anything I have ever made myself. Recently she made a hair pin from a design I gave her, better than I imagined. She also made an ornament covered in tsumami flowers. I envy the person who is recieving it!
Lately, the weather hasn't been very enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to the warmer spring weather, when we can spend more time enjoying the outdoors.
Also, the flu has been spreading, so I'm worried for my family, and of course my students.
Recently, I have begun nail art again. As most of you already know, I love painting my nails in different colors and designs. The other day, I was organizing my polishes, and was a bit surprised at my collection. I have about 100 different polishes!
Hopefully, I will be able to create some fun and interesting designs!
In the meantime, please take care of your health!!!
Firstly, I want to wish everyone a happy New Year!
It's been very cold and windly lately! I don't like cold weather, but it's perfect for hot chocolate.
Recently, my mother sent me a package for my daughter's and my birthday. She included a box of No Bake Peanut Butter Pie. I finally made it yesterday afternoon. It was SO yummy, and very sweet! Maria enjoyed it very much as well.
Tomorrow is my last day of winter vacation, and I'm going to miss the time off, but I am looking forward to working again! I hope to hear about how every celebrated the New Year!
